The FREEBIES are a lot more clearer now..

I hate it when they breakup the lines and say free! I really thought Β it was Free calls and text to Globe/TM, albeit, unli call and text.

Good thing this ‘free’ is really free this time unlike the (previous?) G-Plans (non-consumable plans)!!!

^consumable amounts can ONLY be used for calls, text, and mobile surfing. Share-A-Load, wallpaper downloads, ringtone downloads, and others will be charged on top of your bill!

Part 3: Explanation.

You get to consume the amount that you pay for plus freebies unlike the G-Plans (that I think Globe is still offering).

Gotta love these consumable plans! I am currently on a 250 consumable extension line and it is really flexible! (but now I’m planning to switch to this)

Here are some examples.

First: 299 (E)

What you get: unlimited calls and texts to only 1 Globe/TM number and consume 199 for other things*

You pay: 299**

Second: Plan 299 (A)

What you get: 10 min calls & 200 SMS to Globe/TM and you get use the 299 for other things* or in a different perspective, 10 mins +Β 499 texts to Globe or 56 mins of call + 200 SMS to Globe… sweet πŸ™‚

You pay: 299**

Third: Plan 499 (A, E)

What you get: 10 min calls, 200 SMS to Globe/TM, unlimited calls and text to 1 Globe number and consume 399 for other things*

You pay: 499**

Fourth: Plan 499 (E, E)

What you get: unlimited calls and text to 2 Globe numbers and consume 299 for other things*

You pay: 499 only**

Fifth: Plan 1799 (A, A, D, E, E) [I guess by now you get the point]

What you get: 20 min call, 200 SMS to Globe/TM, 3hours mobile surfing, unlimited calls and text to 2 Globe numbers and consume 1,799 for other things* (P200 is not consumed)

You pay: 1,799**

* consume the total amount (example 199) for 199 text messages, 30 min for Globe-to-Globe call, OR 9 hours mobile surfing (example 299) 299 text messages or 46 mins of Globe-to-Globe calls, OR 14 hours of mobile surfing

**if you did not go over your consumable balance or avail of other services

Part 4: Verdict.

If you are on a tight budget and Β only call and text people sometimes and have a significant other subscribed to Globe the Plan 299 (E) is perfect because you get to enjoy unlimited texting and calling to your significant other and Β use the 199 for texting or calling your family members and other friends or surfing the net (Google Maps navigation, checking email, or Google searching on the fly).

I like it and I set it as an example because my bill last month sky rocketed to 850 pesos instead of the usual 250, because my significant other likes to ask for load and avail of UNLITXT and of course I have to reply to all the messages sent to me.

I don’t text a lot and most of my load is consumed when replying to people with UNLITXT!

Part 5: Other information (FYI)

  • Lock-in period is 1 year for a subscriber who did not avail of a handset. 2 years for those who availed for a handset.
  • There is a early termination fee of P550 if you want to cancel out early. (You still need to pay for the handset if you avail of it)
  • Unused freebies will not carry-over to the next month.
  • You can change your freebies as often as every month. (let’s say your significant other does not want to load up on July, then opt for A instead of E for July)
  • Plan 999 and above will NOT consume P100 from your consumable amount when availing of the SUPER ONE freebie (E) [another perspective of the first fine print]
  • You shall not unlock the phone given to you by Globe. (do it after the lock-in period hehe’)
  • You can also avail for other handsets than the ones provided.

thanks dude! now i fully understand this fully loaded plan all about, i mean the freebies & the consumable! i am currently enrolled in this plan, i can now maximized the usage of my consumable as well as the freebies….hehe

  • eljon

do you know how to check how much more of the freebie you have? for example, how many free texts you still have?

  • jabee

for the ^consumable amounts, is it really consumable as if it is a regular load and can convert it to unlimited texting, calls etc?

  • Arvin

If u share ur load would this be on top of the bill?

    • roiji

yes. it will be on top of your bill — it will not be deducted from your consumable amount.

      • daphne

oh my God. really? i thought when they said consumable, it includes share-a-load. why the heck did they not explain this? as i can recall, they only mentioned in the terms and conditions that plan 499 or 500 is only allowed to share 500 worth of load. so i thought they would just deduct how much i shared to my plan. i thought it would be much convenient if i just share the load to my pre-paid globe to avoid unnecessary charges. yun pala ay di naman. I’M FURIOUS. so that’s what they meant by my unbilled charges! now i have to pay 700+ from what I’ve been paying religiously monthly.

  • Homermike

my current plan now is 1799 with IPHONE 4 handset…

i would like to ask if its ok that i will avail for the unlisurf for one month? how much need to add.. i always use the IPHONE as a MODEM for my LAPTOP to connect to internet. since i have only have 3hours free internet..i would like to have it in full month…

can i register for a 1 day unlimited surfing? coz sometimes there are days that i dont need to use my phone for internet since i have wifi in office and others are mall and etc…

    so i have to choices:
1-unli surf full month (top of bill)
2-unli surf one day (top of bill)

Please let me know what is possible…

  • Cherrie

Hi! Just want to share..did not know that it was possible. Im planning to get my Fully Loaded Plan 999 terminated to get a new handset under the same plan,to do so I have to pay 3500 for Samsung Champ, 550 for Admin fee and the outstanding balance, but the CSA I have talked to at the termination hotline named Emma suggested that instead of terminating the line and to keep my mobile number, ill just have to pay for the phone, then they will give me the phone I want, and my plan continues as it is, as well as the billing. Now, Im just waiting for Emma to confirmed the availability of the phone I want. I just hope this thing goes well.

  • Ping

Hi. Is the blackberry service included sa freebies? πŸ™‚ Thank you!

  • Khalid Lozano

If I will apply for the fully loaded plan of 1,799 with Blacberry 9300 free unit, how much will they charge me on my application? Are they going to charge me like 1 month advance payment?

    • roiji

Yes, you will have to pay 1 month in advance (Php 1,799) on applying. You won’t have to pay when the first bill arrives. (except for the excess of course)

      • Erin

Hi, I just got the 499 My SuperPlan with freebies of A & B, and I love it! I read this blog over and over, so I would know what to ask Globe when getting the plan. Thank you so much for this! πŸ™‚

One question though, i got the Nokia x2-01 phone with the plan and i don’t know whether checking the “Communities” button already has taken up my consumable amount, because there is an ‘E’ on top of the screen, and when i exit, it disappears. what does this mean?

        • roiji

Sorry, I cannot help you with this. I don’t own an X2-01 πŸ™
you can check the manual that came with your phone the meaning of the E symbol.
it could mean EDGE, meaning you are connected to the internet, meaning you are surfing the net.

  • LiD

If I opt for freebie E in My Fully Loaded Plan application, is the activation of the service automatic? or do i have to enroll it through text? thanks in advance.

    • roiji

yes, you have to enroll in through text at least 7 days days (just to be sure) before your cut-off to take effect to following month. it does not take into effect instantly.

  • macy

hi just wanted to can i activate the freebies? i still haven’t got my unit but i can’t remember if they i asked me which freebie do i will i be the one activate the freebie once i received my unit? TIA..

    • roiji

they would have asked you which freebies you want upon registration. did you get your sim already?
you can register your freebies already via text even if you don’t have your unit yet.

  • jL

After my cut-off date, how many days will I receive my billing?

  • Homermike

my PLAN is 1799 with Iphone 4 16gb…

cash out of 11k plus 1 month advance…

i am very careful in using my plan in terms internet connection and calls…

my first bill arrived and they billed me 12k… so shocking…

i even looked at the breakdown of the billing and i ddnt even find any excess of my usage…

im trying to call globe for questions and it seems that they are very hard to contact even on call and web support they have…

hope they could resolve such issues… i just dont know what happened to others…

for Unlimited Internet Surfing using ur postpaid plan..

just register to 1 day unli surf p50 only..

send “unlisurf on 50” to 8888 for postpaid..
    send “unlisurf 50” to 8888 for prepaid…

  • Ping

Hi! Calling smart/sun numbers will be part of my consumable right? πŸ™‚ Btw, how can i register for new freebies via text?

  • Liza

Hi! can I just ask, if I for example already consumed all the freebies included and the consumable amount before the cut-off, what will happen next? would i be still connected and be charge for the excess or I can no longer make calls or send text messages after.

    • roiji

You are still connected. You can still: receive and send text messages, accept and receive calls, surf the internet. But all charges will be on top of your bill.
Meaning if you sent 500 text messages after your freebies and consumable you will be charged 1,499– for a 999 plan.

  • eian

hi there! question. i have fully loaded plan 999 from globe. can i use the consumable amount to reg for BIS using that or will it be on top? and whats the difference of getting the bb supersurf from unlisurf? thanks!

    • roiji

I asume you are using a BlackBerry phone.
I believe any other services than text, call, and internet surf (not unlisurf etc.., just regular connection) can be consumed using the consumable amount. — BIS services will be billed on top of your plan.
The difference of the BB supersurf from regular supersurf are: BB cannot stream videos, BB cannot tether, and BB has push email using BB API.
You can read more about it here:

  • owen17

Is the new SUPERPLAN works like the previous Fully Loaded Plan??

    • roiji

the new Globe SUPERPLAN is both the MY FULLY LOADED PLAN and the previous SUPERPLAN.
      Meaning you can have:
1.) MY FULLY LOADED Plan features PLUS the previous SUPERPLAN features,
2.) MY FULLY LOADED Plan features ONLY,
3.) previous SUPERPLAN features ONLY (select the ALL-UNLI plan)

      – ALL-UNLI is located at the end of the plan selection
      – select LINE ONLY at the phone selection if you want to submit the form.
      – LINE ONLY is at the end of the phone selection.
      – the PLAN and the ADD-ON adds up — you cannot use your plan consumable amount to pay for the add-on!

  • Shiela Villamor

I just want to ask if it’s possible for me to change my plan from consumable to load tipid?
I thought the plan I applied was load tipid but then it’s consumable 499.
I also thought that there’s no excess bill if you consumed the freebies for the month already.
Is there a way on how to know the remaining balance for the consumable freebies? So that I won’t have any excess charge.

    • roiji

you have to cut your existing consumable plan to change to tipid load.
there are fees of course of early termination.
it is possible to retain your current number if you change plan types.
there is no excess bill if you consume your freebies and your consumable.
however, there are other globe services that will be charged on top of your bill like share-a-load, etc.
currently there is no way to check for your freebie balance and your consumable balance πŸ™

      • Shiela

ah. okay. so, i will pay 550 for early termination? so meaning to say if i already consumed my consumable load, i cannot send text message and make calls anymore, right? because as you’ve said there’s no excess charge if i already consumed my load for the month unless i will share a load. just want to share that I’ve got a way on how to check the freebie balance and consumable balance. just text PLAN UNBILLED to 2312.

I also want to ask about the freebies and consumable load. meaning to say aside from the freebies, i also have consumable load? what’s the difference between the two?

        • roiji

Yes, the early termination fee of the previous My Fully Loaded plan is only 550. — That is what is written on the fliers.
You have to double check your signed contract for the early/pre-termination fee amount.

Sorry, i mistyped my previous statement.
I meant, there is *an* excess bill if you consume your freebies and your consumable. — Any excess will be on top of your plan.
You can still call, text, surf the net, share-a-load even if you go over your freebies and consumable amount just don’t go over your credit limit.

With the previous my fully loaded plan: you have freebies and you have consumable load.
Freebies — use them as you wish your consumable amount will not be credited.
Consumable — an amount like regular prepaid load except share-a-load, ringtones, etc will not be deducted from this amount. Calls, text, time surf, and transaction fees are the only things deducted from this consumable amount.

  • Shiela

Hi. I now understand the consumable load and freebies. Since I have 499 with the freebies letters A and D, I have consumable load 399 only instead of 499 because I have letters A and D as freebies, right?

    Please advise.

    • roiji

The 100 deduction is only correct if you choose freebie E.
So, if you choose A and D you will have: freebie A and D plus 499 consumable.
All in all you will have:
      – 10 min free calls to Globe and TM
      – 200 free SMS to Globe and TM
      – free 3 hours mobile surfing
      – 499 consumable amount

      • Shiela

Ah okay. This plan that I applied and the freebies sounds great. So, maybe this consumable load is better than load tipid, am I right? Just want your opinion. πŸ˜‰

        Thanks for the informations.

And by the way, I don’t understand the reply of the one I told you the PLAN UNBILLED send to 2312. The first time I texted it replies and said that my unbilled charge as of March 20 is 55.32 and follow the breakdowns. When I inquired again, it states “your total unbilled charge as of march 20 (still) is PHP74.95. breakdown as follows – 22 SMS : Local = PHP 19.64; WAP = PHP35.68; Internet = PHP 17.84; Myglobe = PHP1.79

So, I’m wondering why is it increases?

        Please advise.

  • Erin

how would i know if my consumable amount is being used up if i have a gprs/edge activated phone?…i got the 499 consumable with A&B as freebies. I tried to check out the “Communities” button on my nokia x2-01 and an ‘E’ on top of the screen suddenly popped i already being charged for this? how can i turn it off? πŸ™

  • Erin

oh also, even if im postpaid, could i still avail of the prepaid promos such as unlitext, super25, sulitext, etc? πŸ™‚ thanks!

    • roiji

Yes you can still avail of other prepaid service. But not all prepaid service can be availed by the postpaid user.
All those services will be charged on top of your bill.

  • Shiela

You have consumed 19.64 worth of Local calls from the time you first inquired to the second inquiry.

    – so what do you mean by that? that is an excess or that’s still the amount that i consumed out of 499 or what does that means?

    • roiji

it will be deducted from your 499 consumable amount.

      • Shiela

ah okay. so meaning to say this “your total unbilled charge as of march 20 (still) is PHP74.95. breakdown as follows – 22 SMS : Local = PHP 19.64; WAP = PHP35.68; Internet = PHP 17.84; Myglobe = PHP1.79” is still the amount deducted to my 499 consumable load?

  • Shiela

I’m really confused on how globe deduct my consumable load. Can you please explain this to me “Your outstanding balance is PHP 96.58 due on 4/13. Your last payment was PHP 0.00, paid on 3/26.” Please elaborate.

    • roiji

I haven’t tried the PLAN UNBILLED 2312 service.
You should consult Globe directly as to how Globe informs your of your unbilled charges.

  • Lauren

I would like to ask if the consumable amount can be alloted to the current Globe Promos.

    ex. Plan 499, freebies A + B
If I avail of the 349 SuperTxt promo, will it be deducted from the consumable, or will it be added to 499 (499 + 349 = 848 total bill)

  • erin

i thought that the consumable 499 plan is right for me, but i thought wrong cause im texting and calling even more now.. globe said that i can upgrade anytime, does “upgrade” mean, i can change my plan to an all-unli P599 call/text plan? and i would just pay extra for texting/calling non-globe numbers right?

    • roiji

Your calls and texts go beyond your 499 consumable and freebies?
A postpaid plan can be addicting because there is no immediate limit to your spending.
The all-unli plan is only applicable only if you are calling and texting globe/tm numbers any call/text to non-globe/tm will be charged on top of your bill.
If you signed up for the MY FULLY LOADED plan, your next upgrade is P999.
If you are on the ALL NEW My Super Plan, I don’t know if you can upgrade to the ALL-UNLI Plan and choose My Super Unli as your add-on.

      • erin

apparently, yes, i go over the 499 consumable and freebies. im currently on the my super plan, hopefully they let me change it to the all unli plan.
        thanks for replying quickly! πŸ™‚

  • mariel

is this just getting the phone free and pay only its load 499 a month? just for easy undestanding

    • roiji

you can get certain phone models for free but your account will be locked-in for 2 years..
you will need to pay only 499 if you don’t have any excesses.

  • mrexcitement

is it true????? that Globe Telecom charges the super plan holders in using WiFi internet connections even when mobile network is set to off? i have my own wifi via globe wimax at home and I wanna use my blackberry’d features instead of Globe’s data service. i also use my BB’s internet via our office WiFi, would I be charge extra by GLobe on top of 999?????

    • roiji

no. they don’t charge super plan holders in using wifi connections. make sure your data connection (phone’s internet via 2G/3G, not WiFi) is turned off.

  • Gregory

Hi. I’ve recently upgraded my GTalk 1200 to the All New My Super Plan 1799. I availed:
    1 Freebie A
    1 Freebie B
    3 Freebie D (9 hours Free Internet)

Now the CSR told me that I would need to shift from TIME browsing to KB browsing in order for the system to monitor my 9 hours free internet usage.

Now I’m confused with this arrangement since KB browsing measures volume of data (contrary to TIME browsing since it measures length of usage).

How will shifting to KB browsing be more beneficial for those who availed of Freebie D?

Also, once I’ve exhausted my 9 hours of free internet, I will be billed P0.15 per KB. Is it possible to shift to TIME browsing once I think and feel that I’ve used up my 9 hours free internet?

Please help. I don’t want to be shocked by my future Globe bills because of lack of support/information given by Globe representatives.

    • roiji

Indeed KB browsing measures the volume of data but it is also used on other services such as UNLISURF and the free internet on your plan.
Shifting to KB browsing will consume your freebie. Staying on TIME browsing will consume your consumable amount.
You can shift to TIME browsing by sending TIME to 1111 and wait for the confirmation text message.
To shift back to KB browsing send KB to 1111 and wait for the confirmation text message.

      • Gregory

Thank you for the reply. So how will I know when I’ve used up my 9 hours based on my KB usage?

And, in the first place, how much KB is equivalent to 3 hours? I wish Globe will be more transparent on certain things like this one.

        • roiji

You can track in manually or you can install an app on your phone if you have a smartphone.
I don’t know if there is a service that can track how long have you surfed the net…
If you have free internet hours/UNLISURF the KB (amount of data) doesn’t matter. 3 hours is 3 hours regardless of how many GB you can download in that time.

          • Gregory

Indeed 3 hours is 3 hours regardless of how much kb/mb/gb was consumed.

However, my concern stems from how KB and TIME are reflected in the Globe bill. In KB-based browsing, the total volume and the equivalent fee are reflected. In TIME-based browsing, the total duration and the equivalent fee are reflected.

Thus, this is my thinking: If I’m in KB-based browsing, Globe would only credit a certain accumulated volume of KB that is equivalent to 9 hours of free internet. But in TIME-based browsing, Globe would straightforwardly credit 9 hours of accumulated usage regardless of volume.

9 hours is worth Php 180
            ==> (Php 5 / 15 minutes) * (60 minutes / hour) * 9 hours

            Using the aforementioned conversion,
            9 hours = Php 180 = 1200 kb
            ==> (Php 180 / Php 0.15 per KB)

1 MB worth of data in 9 hours?

            As such, I’m really puzzled.

Why is the CSR telling me to shift to KB-based browsing if TIME-based browsing is the “fairly less unreliable” method of monitoring my FREE Internet consumption of 9 hours?

How does shitfing to KB-based browsing allow Globe’s system to:
            1) correctly read that I’ve availed of Freebie D?
            2) correctly monitor my duration of usage?
            3) correctly credit the correct duration of usage?

Perhaps, what amount of data is equivalent to 9 hours of FREE internet for Globe Telecom?

          • roiji

You are asking for information on how Globe programmers do the calculations on your subscription.
I cannot answer your question because I am not Globe’s System Administrator.
If I am, I will answer your question.
If they say that you need to shift to KB to avail of your free internet hours then do so.
They told me to shift to KB browsing when I availed of UNLISURF so I did.
I wasn’t charged for data that I consumed when I downloaded 2 Glee episodes and played online games and watched YouTube videos.
TIME browsing charges you 5 pesos for every 15 minute chunks. If you’ve only used 40 seconds of it you’ll still be charged 5 pesos.
If you’re suggesting to use TIME browsing as your monitoring preferences and you only go online for 10 seconds every hour for the past 24 hours you will consume 6 hours (15 minutes x 24 hours) instead of 4 minutes (10 seconds x 24 hours).
KB browsing could monitor both your data consumption and the time you used. If you have the freebie, your data consumption will be disregarded withing the free time alloted.

So I suggest (1) track your Internet consumption manually (because it is your obligation in the first place and not Globe’s) or (2) don’t use freebie D at all and use TIME browsing to consume your 499 amount.

  • plan A

Hi, I just signed up for a postpaid plan with globe, specifically the 299 plan with the (A) freebie. I am curious to know if the charges listed as “unbilled charges” (obtained through unbilled charges inquiry in postpaid services) are charges within the consumable 299 or are they charges already on top of the 299 consumable?

  • cc

sir i have applied for plan 299 with freebie A…
what is MRF why was i charged 400 plus pesos for it…
yun consumable 299 po ba only to globe/tm calls and text lng? hindi ba pwede to other networks? pls explain po… your reply will be appreciated… do send me an email.. ty

    • roiji

What do you mean by MRF?
The consumable amount is used for anything beyond your freebies. It includes calls and text to other networks.

    • Gregory

      MRF is Monthly Recurring Fee.

      If you’re under Plan 299 with 1 Freebie A,
your MRF would be 266.96 (w/o VAT)

      Maybe you’ve FULLY consumed:
      1) your 10 mins to Globe and 200 SMS to Globe, PLUS
      2) your consumable amount worth PHP 299.

Thus, you’ve been charged in excess of your allotted freebies and consumable amount.

  • Gregory

I understand that you’re not from Globe. And truly it’s up to the subscriber to manage his/her consumption freebies. I was just hoping that a current subscriber who availed at least 1 Freebie D would stumble upon your site and shed some light on this. Nevertheless, since I will be consuming Freebie D in the following weeks, I’ll see what happens as soon as I get the bill and hopefully shed some light to puzzled or hesitant future subscribers.

  • Paolo

Sir I’m currently on Plan 999 with BB 8520.
I have 3 freebies from A to E. and 999 consumable amount right? My question is can i use the consumable amount for BB services like BB Social and Messaging?

  • Paolo

Sir thanks for your response my next question, is there any surf plan or services that can be deducted to the consumable amount?

    • roiji

AFAIK, there are no other services that can be deducted from the consumable amount other than normal calls and normal text and TIME browsing (I haven’t tried if they deduct KB browsing in the consumable amount).

  • jah

Hi i just received my bill….

    my bill is 604.88

    MRF = 311.45
    Usage (Net of consumables)= 228.94
    VAT= 62.67
    Overseas Communication Tax = 1.82

can i ask what is USAGE (net of consumables)

I only used my plan for5 days and my bill is too much…

    I know that i consumed 314.50

but my bill is 604.88 so i want to ask what is the Usage for??

    thanks πŸ™‚

    • roiji

Net consumed is the total amount after your consumable has been deducted — you have consumed all of your consumable hence, ‘net’
If you are using a smartphone, make sure you don’t have any data connection active (‘H’, ‘E’, ‘3G’, etc. symbols on your standby screen) it consumes your consumable amount.
And take note of the breakdown of the Usage (Net of consumables). It will tell you how you have used your phone.

  • John

Hi, ask ko lang pano kung yung consumption is below dun sa consumable, possible ba macarry over yung unconsumed by the next period. Let say dun sa Plan 499 is 350 lang yung nacomsume ko, pag sa next period ba possible na kahit magconsume ako ng let sat 600, maliless kaya yung excess 149 na unconsumed portion nung plan from previous period? – thanks, hope I made my query clear.

I’ve noticed that the My Super Plan is a promo currently with May 31, 2011 as the expiration. I’m on a discontinued Advantage Plan 300 right now and the CSR told me that if I shift to My Super Plan, I won’t be able to return to that plan. What happens now if Globe decides to discontinue the My Super Plan? Would I have to then subscribe to any of their existing plans with a minimum P500/month?

    • roiji

If Globe decided to discontinue their current ‘All New Globe My Super Plan’, you will have to subscribe to whichever plan will be available by then. The ‘My Fully Loaded Plan’ was still available months after the end of its promo period August 31, 2010.
I’m on a discontinued GFlex 250 extension plan right now.
When the ‘My Fully Loaded Plan’ was introduced back then, they still have the GPlans available.
But the GPlans slowly faded away to be replaced by the ‘My Fully Loaded Plan’ and the old ‘My Super Plan’.
The ‘My Fully Loaded Plan’ and the old ‘My Super Plan’ was replaced by the ‘All New My Super Plan’ today and may even be available even after its ‘promo period’.
Weigh if your Advantage Plan 300 is better than the basic My Super Plan 299 (with its freebies and consumable).
Go for the My Super Plan 299 if it’s better. Opt for the line-only (no phone) so that you can change your plan after a year instead of being locked-in for 2 years.

  • Jim

Is facetime sms activation deducted from my consumable amount or is it chargd on top of my 1799 plan?

  • elaine

hello there roiji, just wanna ask if I would avail for the globe fully loaded plan 499 with a handset can I use the postpaid sim to other handset which is globe locked too? kasi you said you could also avail for the NO handset which has just a lock in period of 1 year? so its just a postpaid sim to your available handset. thanks in advance:)

    • roiji

      hi elaine,
currently, the fully loaded plan is not available anymore. it is replaced by the all new globe my super plan.
yes, you can use the postpaid sim to another globe-locked handset.
you will have a 2-year lock in period if you availed a handset even if you won’t or don’t use it.

  • anly

hm…just switched to 299 from superplan… Im paranoid checking my unbilled fees, it keeps increasing…i think the calls im doing is charged to me…. How’s that??’ ;(

    • roiji

as long as the total is below your plan, most probably you wouldn’t pay higher than your plan.
unbilled charges summarizes everything that you have consumed from your cut-off. your consumable amount and freebies are not yet deducted there.

  • cha

in plan 499, the free gadget which is samsung corby 2, is the latest one available? or the samsung corby (wifi)? because the picture of the gadget is samsung corby 1 (wifi).. pls confirm.

  • mimay

can i change my plan 299 (A) to plan 299 (E)? because i think it fits with me. can i do that with globe?

    • roiji

yes, you can still switch from freebie A to freebie E .
      – Request for change in FREEBIE should be done (4) days before or after your the cut-off period shown on your bill statement.
      – You will only have 199 to consume.

  • mimay

ow. this blog was made on Jul.04, 2010. does the plan 299 (e) still apply? thanks

  • yuan

im having globe plan 999.. if i will switch it to all unli 599 what am i going to do??? how much will it cost me???? thanx!

    • roiji

AFAIK, if you are still in the lock-in period, it will cost you Php 10,000 + Php 550 Administration fee + Remaining cost of phone (if any) to terminate your current Plan 999 and switch to the All-Unli Plan with your choice of unli service.
I don’t know if there is an option for you to switch to the All-Unli plan within your lock-in period.

  • trina

hi roiji! im really confused everytime i called the 211 cx service of seems that thay are giving different infos about my plan.. I’m with the postpaid plan of 999 blackberry 8520. my question is if I will register to supersurf 999, it’ll be on top my 999 monthly subscription?
and how can I register to the 3 freebies that I currently have?
Before, I thought it is automatic that u can use it once ur sim is activated. pls pls reply. Super tnx po!!!

    • roiji

      Hi Trina,

I assume you are on the all-new My Super Plan.
SuperSurf 999 add-on will be charged on top of your bill.
You can register your freebies by going to any Globe store or calling them (requesting to register your freebies) at 211 on your phone or 730-1000.
It is ‘automatic’ if you fill out the form the Globe store.

  • Marnelle

Hello, just wanna ask, ilang days or hours ba yung activation ng Globe Plan, kasi im subscribing the Plan 999 with Balckberry, sabi ng agent 24-hours daw pwede na magamit but it takes two(2) days na yuung signal sa screen ng phone indicating it still no network e.

    thanks in advance

    • roiji

the activation should not exceed 24 hours. i got mine activated in 12 hours.
have you tried your sim on another phone? or tried other sim on that phone?
baka defective yung phone na binigay nila sayo?

  • trina

Super thanks roiji!!! after reading your reply I decided to terminate my subscription to the supersurf.. my bad that I didnt realize that it’ll be on top of my 999 bill..Im just wondering how much would be my total payable when my bill comes out, coz i’ve been with the service for 3 days….

  • Kate

Gee, thanks so much! Even asking the person at Globe confused me! Because I asked about the termination fee, he told me that P10,000 is the charge for phones less than P5000 and for more expensive ones, I have to pay for the unit. So it was confusing (I will pay more for the cheaper phones than for an iphone, for example. Haha).

Just to clarify, I’ll just pay the excess amount (in addition to the P550) of the phone’s cash out amount (I’m planning to get either the plan 299 or all unli plan).

    • roiji

Hi Kate, the 550 termination fee is for those who availed of the My Fully Loaded Plan last year.
Yes, the standard termination fee is 10,000 + the price of the phone.
The My Fully Loaded Plan is not available anymore, it is superseded by the new My Super Plan.
If you’re going for an all-unli plan (note: you don’t have any consumable amount) I suggest the My Super TXT ALL but any calls, email, or surfing you make will be charged on top of the 599 monthly bill.
But if you are on a tight budget Plan 299 with My Super One FREEBIE (not add-on) is perfect if you have someone who needs constant communication with.

  • share

hi roiji, i’ve read in one of your comments that the consumable is not like a regular load that you can use for unlitxt.. aww im really saddened by this.. do you mean i cannot enjoy the sulitxt and unlitxt services anymore?
btw, just got my plan299 last may14 and its still not activated up until now.. so i have no way to test those services. thanks in advance πŸ™‚

  • jon

“I don’t text a lot and most of my load is consumed when replying to people with UNLITXT!”

please elaborate this. you mean if i reply to people who availed UNLITXT, my load will be consumed? O.O?

    thanks. πŸ™‚

    • roiji

No, your load will not be consumed when replying to anyone who has availed UNLITXT.
In that scenario, I did not avail of UNLITXT but had to reply to someone with UNLITXT.
But I if I had that MySuperOne (unli call & txt to one number) I will not consume my load to that one person who has UNLITXT and a frequent texter to me.

  • trisha camello

when applying for the super plan, in how many days does the person get the handset? will he/she get it within one week? a few days? or right after the application?

    • roiji

if they have the stock they’ll give it to you there and then.
if not, it will now depend on when they can restock it. the iPhone 4 took months to restock… for others, just a few days maybe.
if you have the time, you can jump from one globe store to another and ask them if they have stock of the phone you want.
if they don’t have the stock and you are not willing to wait to use your line just argue as to how you can use their service if they won’t provide a phone, even a temporary one ;p
it may not work but you might as well try ;p

  • jove

are the freebies really free?..really confused. I’m on the 499 plan with freebie A and B, my bill usually sums up to 700+…I know i don’t exceed the 200 “free” sms freebie or even my is the “200 free sms” really free? please help..thanks…

    • roiji

      yes, they are really free.
you can check the breakdown of your usage on your bill.
it indicates how many you have sent to globe/tm and how many you have sent to smart/sun..
also, double check on your calls and internet usage, you might me on KB browsing (it really costs a lot).
also, unsubscribe to any ringback tones, traffic/news information, ringtone downloads, etc. as they are charged on top of your plan.
